We held a Rotaract raffle at the quiz night at the
Fishery Pub, to help raise £800 sponsorship money needed for two Rotaract
members to do a 13,500 ft. charity tandem sky dive. Members had already raised
substantial sponsorship money, and this successful event raised £268, enough sponsorship
to complete the jumps. Many thanks to the Fishery and to the following
local companies that donated prizes: WH Smiths, Haven Holidays, Sainsburys,
Nail Artistry, Bookworld, Early Learning Centre, Wilkinsons, The Works and
many others. The money raised will be put towards building a classroom in South
Africa for AIDS orphans. Our members jumped on Sat 24 June raising £1,250. The feedback from those that jumped was... "it was awesome, can't wait
to do it again!"
