Rotaract Hemel Hempstead

Community work

Rotaract Hemel Hempstead works in the local community, organising events, taking part in activities and fundraising. Here's an example of what we do:
Mural painting at the Little Acorns Playgroup
We painted an outside mural for the Little Acorns Playgroup in Warners End in December 05 and January 06. Please see the Little Acorns page for more details.

Blind Club Quiz
We organise enjoyable regular quizzes at the Boxmoor Club for the Blind, Hemel Hempstead, with questions from yesteryear. Please see press release for more details or look at the photos.

Margaret Lloyd Nursery, Grovehill
We got together one Saturday and painted bright and colourful designs in the outside area of the nursery. Please see press release for more details or look at the photos.

Victorian Evening
Every November the Old Town hold a Victorian Evening, and we have a stall to fundraise for our club. This money goes towards our charity work and the running costs of Rotaract Hemel Hempstead. We usually have a good laugh even though it is cold! Please see photo.

Midsummers Community Fair
We also take part in local fetes and fairs. We usually have a stall selling things like cakes and cookies, face painting for kids (artistic volunteers always welcome), and a game or two. Please see photo.
