| Rotaract's 12 hour Comic Relief Hair-raiser: RED or DREADS? On Friday 11th March, will you be in red or will you wear your hair in dreads? Hemel Hempstead Rotaract Club has organised a 12-hour entertainment fundraiser at Hemel Hempstead Cricket Club, Station road to raise money for Comic Relief. The dress code is wear red or do something wacky with your hair! Starting at midday till 5pm, there is family entertainment of streetdance lessons for the kids, pampering for the parents, face painting, badgemaking, Sherbert the Clown, kids disco and much more. Entry fee is £1 for 5yrs-17yrs and £2 for over 18yrs. And there's more, in the evening it is an open mic night with up and coming new musicians and local bands, and also a chance to raise some serious money through sponsored hair-erasing shenanigans. If you know someone hairy that is willing to have their head shaved, back waxed or any other crazy stunt to raise money for Comic Relief: the Cricket Club venue will be perfect, call the number below. Entry fee for the evening is £5 for 13yrs and over. Many local retail, food stores and businesses, especially Rtfacts Design who have produced and printed the posters and flyers for free, have kindly lent their support by donating vouchers and merchandise for raffle prizes and competitions throughout the day.
